I love my new WWII that I got from the deal of the day! There is only one problem, the sheath is extremely tight (on the sides). On my larger Sgt Khadka bonecutter the sheath is not nearly as tight. If it is hanging on my belt I have to hold the sheath with one hand and draw with the other as opposed to just being able to pull the knife from the sheath.

Is this normal?

Is there a way to stretch the sheath out?

I had a similar problem with one of mine. ASTK actually cut through the sheath and nearly bloodied me, due to the poor fit. Think it shrunk. I ended up getting wildmanh to make me some new sheaths.

First, make sure the frog is not overly tight. take it off and see if that loosens it a little.
The easiest fix for this is to glue a little wedge or bit of toothpick between the two halves right in the throat of the scabbard.
The hardest fix is to peel back the leather inside the throat and sand a little off and reglue.
The upside to an overly tight scabbard is that it will usually eventually loosen up over time with use.
