Sheath rattle quick fix

Thought I'd post this quick fix that has worked on my 7 and 9 to cure the dreaded "sheath rattle". Cut a scrap of leather about three or four inches long and the width of the sheath insert. Fold it into a "U" shape and cram it to the bottom of the insert with a ruler or something similar. You have to use a little force to put the knife all the way in the first couple of times, but after that....no rattle and it feels solid. Yes, I am a redneck.
 
Good tip. For my ESKabar, I cut a small piece of bike innertube and glued it just below the sheath opening. Can't even really see it but it gives a nice friction fit and no more rattle :thumbup:
