Recommendation? Sheath Recommendations

Hi all,

I currently own a Benchmade Nim Cub II and am looking to add it to my EDC rotation. The factory sheath leaves much to be desired. I bought a custom kydex IWB sheath and found it is not comfortable to carry for a normal day of work.

I am looking to try a scout carry (on the back waistband sideways for right hand draw)

Can anyone recommend some avenues to find a sheath that might fit my needs? Recommendations on leather vs. kydex?

I am in and out of vehicles constantly and spend significant time at a desk. Also need to keep concealed so as not to scare the office workers.

Thanks!

Hello,

Do you have any pics of the current kydex sheath ? I ask because if it has good retention and you like it. It’s possible maybe you could buy a tek lock for it. Also if hole spacing allows, paracord wrapped could be used for scout carry.
Hope this helps

I dont have pictures but it is a fold-over kydex with holes only on one side so scout carry is not an option with that sheath.

Pancakes can be worn that way:

with the suggestions of the forum members here, I ordered materials and build my own pancake sheath. it is not the prettiest but it is functional. Currently trying to break it in to the curvature of my waistline.

My last pancake, I got it too horizontal, where it wrapped at about the 4:30 position I shoved the point right through the sheath. Reached back to adjust something, felt a drip on my foot, looked down my finger was bleeding like a bugger.
