This past summer my father asked me if I could make a dagger for him to go with his western rig. Since a bunch of guys at his shooting club go western occasionally, he wanted to have fun as well. His wife bought him a belt and holster to go with his rep colt 45s and he wanted a Doc Holiday type dagger to go with it. Well, I finished it before christmas and when I went up to see him (he lives a few hours away) I found out that the sheath I made not only wouldn't fit on the holster, it didn't look like the rest of the rig. Rather than just leave it with him, I took it back and made a new sheath. Now it matches his pistol holsters, not perfectly of course but close. Its a Mexican loop style with the first tooling that I have done. I bought my wife some leather working tools, so that she wouldn't feel left out hehe. She said I could use them whenever I wanted
Blade is 1/8" 01, 4.25" long, handle is white tail antler with red liners, 3.75" long. Dagger grinds are a bitch. First pics are what it was in Dec, then what it looks like now.
What do you think? (yes, I need a new camera or at least learn how to use it hehe)
