Sheath retention mod

I found my new spec. GSO 5.1 falling off the sheath with a good "tug" upside down. Not that I'm planning to carry it inverted but it's something that I've never experienced personally So I contacted Survive! And provided me this type of mod. to be able to increase or adjust retention on the sheath. I was told that they had some complaints that the retention from their previous sheaths were too tight (which I prefer). So Guy loosened the retention a bit on this run.

I've set a few eyelets in about the same position you have done for increased retention. Not on a S!K sheath, but others. You can pinch along the edge of the sheath to get an idea of where to set it. Eyelets are pretty permanent, though. Can you adjust the tension as needed with that hardware?

ETA: I mean, as it changes over time.

Yup, you can definitely adjust the tension with the hardware. I mentioned to Guy since they're putting slot on the sheath, maybe they can add a slot similar to the picture below. That way it's more user friendly.

 
I don't have this problem with my gso's BUT I have a sheath that came with a vex a while back that is ever so slightly loose. This would be a great mod!!

Do you have the new spec. 5.1? If yours doesn't have the issue my guess would be is there's some variances on the handle thickness that's why mine falls of when shaken upside down.

I actually have 2, and 3 sheaths total(I got dirt imbedded in one). They are looser than they used to be for sure, but I haven't tried to hold them upside down. I did use to carry my 4.1 that way on my pack, so I may utilize this mod after all :)!
