As a new FiddleBack Forge customer, I was in need of some sheaths and since I've seen and liked work from both Rick Lowe and Heber, I decided to send 2 knives to them both and see what they created. Neither of them had made sheaths for the BowLeggedBeltKnife nor the 3FingerJoe so the added bonus of the duplication is that they now have patterns for both knives.
As many of you know, they are both excellent leather artists and while they have different styles, both of their work compliments Andy's work and I'll enjoy using/wearing both of the sheaths. I'm no where near the photographer that many of you are, but I hope my efforts to document the sheaths will give you the information needed if you want to have sheaths made by either gentleman.
I wear these sheaths over my left hip:

Rick's sheath is a cross draw sheath so it doesn't sit totally horizontal but rather at an angle. With Heber's design and the length of this knife, we decided to put a cutout in the loop so it could straddle a belt loop if need be and it makes it easier to thread the belt through. I asked Heber to base his work on a picture I saw here on the forum -- I can't find it any longer but believe it was a sheath which Talfuchre made for Chainring. Thank you for the inspiration.
Thank you both (Heber & Rick) for the great work.
