Hi. I was wondering if any of you guys know how to tighten up snaps on retaining loops on sheaths without changing the snap altogether. Over time, they get less secure, and pop open inadverdently sometimes.

Thanks for any advice.

I would try crimping the female side EVER SO SLIGHTLY...picture making it SLIGHTLY out of round.....if that does not work, send it to me, I'll replace the strap for ya.....oops, better see a picture of it first :D

I used my Leatherman to do that, and it worked. Thanks for the good advice.

Retaining loops sometimes stretch with time. An easy fix is to add a layer of leather inside the loop. first fit the new leather to thickness and size to take up the slack, then glue, let set and good to go without having to make a new retaining loop.
