Sheath suggestions

I was asked to make a sheath for this knife. It is a big 3" wide blade. He wants a cross draw type sheath, or something with a shoulder strap. Anyone have any pictures of sheaths for big knives like this, or any suggestions to offer?

Yes, the knife is 18" long

I just finished one for a big Bowie type, 19" long. Pretty easy, cut, stitch and used a welt all the way around. It would not be much to make it cross draw.That's a nice knife you have, any idea on the history?

These two are both pretty simple pouch sheaths, both are cross draw., large one is 18" long.

A Mexican Loop style would look great on that big D handle. Here is Mr. Burrows how-to on one. I've made several from this tutorial.....Randy
