I make some different types of sheaths for knives and here is an easy to make sheath which checks a lot of boxes. I think these types were first made by Buck in the seventies but I may be wrong. For guarded knives it is one of a few sheaths you can make where you can literally just drop the knife in but it is extremely secure, all one hand insert and remove. Economical with the amount of leather it uses, just dont make it a lefty!!!

Why couldn't you make a lefty version of this? Shouldn't it be possible to just reverse the design?
