Sheath

Rumor has it Pugs is currently slightly overwelmed. He does good stuff and very reasonable but you might have to get in line.

The thread Sheathmakers/Craftsman of Bladeforums lists sheath makers who have worked with Khukri's and are friends of H.I.. That's a great place to start.

If I may, I have done a few sheaths for H.I. knives and Khukris over the years and am taking orders. In years past, my turn around times on some custom work was pretty slow, but these days, the average is 2 weeks or less. An example for your viewing pleasure:

This sheath is a custom based off my standard Khukri sheath. It was customized with a D-ring and Dangler and extra d-rings for tie downs. If you like to talk, my email is in my signature. Thanks!

Awesome sheath, Heber. Is that a CAK?

Phil, it sure is!

I've done at least 3 Khukri sheaths (lost all the other pictures), 2 for H.I. Bowie's, tons of machete sheaths and sheaths for other knives. Building Khukri sheaths is a ton of fun. Each one is different and some pose challenges which makes it interesting.

Very well done sir. I remember seeing some of your work from sometime ago. All very nice.

I made one wooden sheath for my RR/Amtrak WWII which didn't have a sheath. There was definitely some head scratching and aspirin consumption trying to figure out how to cover but still be able to get it in and out. I understand your description of challenge. In this case you met the challenge well.

That is some super sexy work wildmanh. I am going to have Pugs make me a sheath for my KLVUK. I think I might need to contact you for a 15in Ang Kohla sheath in the near future. Do we need to send you the kukri, I know the answer is probably yes but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Thanks Joe! Wood sheaths are outside of my comfort zone, never even tried one, Sounds difficult. Would love to see pictures of it!

Thanks! I can work with the Khukri, or a tracing of it and specs. Feel free to email me any time, if you'd like to talk shop. Don't want to clutter this forum with sales stuff. ;)
