I usually don't sheath any knife of mine.
And grips are workhorses, but sometimes, in a dusty environment or in a old denim there is a lot of fluffy and whatever you want to save some maintenance time.
Or maybe to better protect a precious handles.
Why not?

So today I made mine.
But no precious handles. :D:D:D

Do you use to have some sheaths on your grips (even sometimes)?

looks good mostho,. me, no I don't use a sheath (with an h). Ciao!
Kris,.

I made a sheath for my Contego and one for my daughters knife, and a few for customers, but never a Grip.

Looks like a nice fit. Good job. :)

I ve always felt that a reason a person used a folding knife rather than a fixed blade was to be able to do without a sheath.

I think also that a folder can protect you from the blade but the folder in itself is not protected.
Anyway is another fancy way to carry,sometimes... Why not? Even Sebenzas do it!
:)

Maybe it seems obvious why I carry a folder in a sheath, and in truth I didn't really get it, but it's nice because it gets the knife out of your pocket which protects the knife, and clears out space for your other stuff. I never liked carrying my keys in the same pocket as a knife. Made my teeth hurt just thinking about it.

Also, as mentioned, a well executed sheath is another really nice adornment.

Only thing I don't really get is leaving the clip on. In some cases the knife looks better with the clip on, but usually the knife is more comfortable without it. Either way. I do em however a guy wants.

I agree absolutely agree.
BTW I changed my mind and yesterday I dyed the sheath. Now I think there is more contrast and I like it more.

Nice work. I might carry with belt when I am jogging. I would place clip on the leather like I do with Grip in my front pocket.

When at work I keep my Ritter grip in a standard benchmade sheath. I am often carrying or lifting things and I've had the knife pulled out of pocket once. It rides very well next to my Leatherman on my belt. It works so well I've started going with the sheath for hikes and fishing trips. Around the house or town, pocket carry.
