Variations on a theme - sheaths by yours truly and Linda - my better half

and no I didn't make Linda do all of the beadwork :help: - she did all six loops and I did all of the edge beading and the dangles........All three are Mexican Loop style with an elk or deer rawhide "repair" over an inside sheath of bark tan leather. The loops are braintan buckskin sewn to rawhide...

see, now i HATE that style of sheath... always have. but those are truely fantastic pieces of work. thats 'riflemans knife' setup is something else.

Hey Chuck, those are as always, a fine example of what should be considered "state of the art." Seeing one of Gib's blades up there kinda gave me a little twinge. God rest, and God bless, Gib. He surely is missed, and anyone who can pay justice to one of his blades, it certainly is you and Linda!
 
That is "as good as it gets" Chuck & Linda.You 2 are real Professionals and have IMHO "Mastered your Craft". I love the Guard on the Goo !
 
Thanks all - I'm busier than a one legged man at a butt kicking contest so I've been slow gettin gback here - here's what's waiting for me on the work bench so I better get back to it......

5 full carved holsters
1 stamped holster
3 gun belts
1 mexican loop sheath
and last but not least Wild Goo#5 - a small Bowie and sheath........

of yeah and patching the bloody roof!
