This is a post to share your work (leather and kydex) in use. The more "life" the more "patina" the better. Show em off. We make stuff to be used...lets see those pics. I'll start some off.

"Buddy" working in the rain. this is one of my son's horses. He's holding down a first time heifer so that my son can assist her calf's birth. She's having trouble and the calf needs to be "pulled". Horsewright headstall on the bridle and Horsewright silver dollar martingale across the chest.

My son works by himself so relies on good horses. Notice how Buddy keeps his weight back and the heifer's rear feet off the ground so she can't struggle.

One of my Gordo knives and sheaths in MT. I designed this sheath to ride horizontal on the belt but this cowboy came up with a unique way of carrying it.

Spur straps in England, made the martingale too.

Horsewright leggings, Small of the Back pancake sheath and damascus steel stag handled knife in NV.

Nice to see working leather in action.

Dave you make some great gear , always love seeing it .
I don't use any of my sheaths these days . I've totally moved to folders with pocket clips so there goes my leatherwork hobby :)
I do use the belt I made everyday at work , so that's about it for me .

Ken

Did the belt stretch quite a bit? After wearing.

Here's my daily driver. A Gary Graley style horizontal sheath for my Leek.

Thanks Gary!

The clip on my Leek got bent so badly I decided to take the clip off but the screw's wouldn't budge so I ground the heads off the screws and called it good enough. Then a horizontal sheath of horse hide got me fixed up.

Nice woodwrkr221 horsehide is some tough stuff!

And Dave, your posts always takes me out to the range, I can just picture you guys/gals sitting around a campfire with someone playing on a harmonica :)

I don't have any right not to show, they come and go a bit too quick ;)

Nice belt Ken. I bet ya can find other things to make! Nice sheath woodwrkr. That horsehide is tough stuff.

wow Gary we was typing horsehide is tough stuff at the same time!

Pretty sure Kershaw makes Leek clips out of the most bendable metal on earth in an effort to sell more Leeks  Glad I found mine and have since made a nice friction sheath for it.

Don't have many pics of my work in the field, but here's my Kukri dangler riding on my leg while hiking in the White Mountain region of NH.

been using this one for about a year. It's my first pancake, tooling not so great. Judging the amount of ware in one year it might last me the rest of my life :)
Thanks Dave

Holster I made a little over a year ago for my iPhone 6plus. Love the phone, but it's so big and all of the holders on the market are either vertical or horizontal. I wanted something that wouldn't snag on everything under the sun and would be easy to access while sitting. Cross draw was the solution. Wet formed over a block of wood. Retention is great. I wear it everyday. It fits the bill, for sure. Clip in the back pocket is a Kershaw Leek - the everyday beater.

Nice pics and work guys! Keep em coming. Why Waltz there's definitly a market for phone cases. I get calls all the time but I don't make em. John we gonna have to make ya a matching belt now. Glad that sheath is working out for ya. Cool pic Whiteknuckle looks like some big country.

This is how I wear my Barkie everyday in the sheath I designed and made. However, I stole all the ideas I could from all you guys. [emoji41]

Well these are my every day companions.First horizontal sheat on the belt, and hor/ver sheat for leatherman and accesories which I carry in backpack. My work is in the office and on the construction site sometimes so they are not so much abused, but I love them both

This is always interesting post. Nice work guys.

Nice pics guys. Spyder does that neck knife bang around on ya and into stuff? I've never given much thought to a necker. Macan I remeber seeing that sheath of yours you sent to Anthony when he came for that shop visit. It was similar wasn't it to the one you're wearing there? Remeber being intriqued by the flap closure.

@Dave this is the only sheat of that type I made, maybe someone used idea in which case i would really like to see how it looks:). The discussion about that sheat was will the flap will roll on? Quite few times i forgot to take with me my gym shorts, and since the gym looks like dungeon I dont have problems if I am wearing jeans and sheat is on belt even when I do leg presses on the mashine :D and never had that problem

Looks very secure to me for sure Macan. Hmm I wondering what I'm remembering then that Anthony showed me. Oh well ya get old like me and they say the memory is the second thing to go. Can't remember what the first was. Digging through the archives Found a few more that might be of interest.

I always wear a T-shirt under my main shirt, and I wear my neck knife between the two shirts. I usually wear a short sleeved shirt untucked as my outer shirt. I often forget I'm wearing the knife when wearing it this way. But I notice a neck knife any heavier than 4oz is just not as unnoticeable. Wearing it between two shirts like this keeps the knife from flopping around, and it is extremely comfortable and accessible, whether sitting or standing.
