I just got a knife and sheath that I had made for a customer, back a few months before I got Paul's DVD's (about 2 1/2 years ago). The guy saw some of my recent work and ordered a new horizontal carry sheath. I couldn't help but laugh (maybe more of a grimace) at the sheath I originally gave the guy. I just wanted to show what a difference Paul's influence has made in my stuff. Granted, both the sheath and knife are kinda beat up - this knife has been USED - but you'll get the point. Anyone wondering whether the DVD's are worth the money need not worry...they are fantastic, and Paul is awesome to work with if you need a little extra help. FYI the new one is the one on top..
Thanks again Paul!
Mark

Can I ask you or even Paul Long if he's watching is there any stuff on folder sheaths in those DVDs , or are they all fixed blades ?

Very nice work on the latest sheath , but in reality the bones of the first one were all there , a lot of the time it's the finishing and attention to detail that really show the difference .
Nice knife also

Ken, there is nothing in either of the sheath DVDs on folder sheaths, however the mechanics, design, construction, etc. are very very similar to even the same as the information found in the first DVD "Basic Pouch Sheaths" for the way I make folder sheaths.
I am planning on getting with Chris soon to produce a comprehensive Folder sheath DVD.

Having said that, I am always willing to help either by photos and email or phone with anything you believe I can help you with.

Thanks .
Sign me up for one of those Folder Sheath DVDs if you make one .
I've been experimenting with making Folder sheaths with a flap - stud closer and a lined interior , but I'm struggling not so much with the hands on stuff but with the overall design , shape and dimensions . The lines and the look of it just don't flow like I want .
I'm beginning to realise cutting, bending, stitching , glueing, dyeing is only a small part of this Sheath Making lark .:)
I take my hat off to you guys who add tooling ,stamping and inlays to that list above .

Ken

PS - that barbed wire stamping on that original sheath is actually really cool , how did you do it ?
