Those are... WOW! Very very beautiful work! You wouldn't happen to ship to the States, would you?

Sorry guys. I am not a Gold member so I can't sell in this forum. If you like the design, you are most welcome to copy or adapt it for your own use. I would be most happy to help you along the way if you need any advice.

Sing, very nice work sir. They look like perfection. You have an art at this man.

Craftmanship looks excellent.

A few "practical design" advices:
two buttons would be uselessly complicated, would be best with a single button.
You should have a way to hang every part of the shealth to your belt while working.

those are fantastic ! i've been contemplating making sheaths for some of mine as well.

Thank you for that Ravaillac. I few thoughts went into this sheath. The two buttons are used when carrying the axe. If one pops open, the axe will still be secure. If I only used one, the axe will fall off if it pops open. When In use, sheathing the axe between usage, one of the buttons is enough.

The sheath is design to be used on a baldric but it can also hang from the belt using one or two belt loops with trigger hooks.

If you have a built in belt loop, your axe will be in the way when you sit down. If you take the axe off, it's then either without the sheath or you have to take your belt off. Works better this way for a lazy man like me :D

I agree it wouldn't work for everyone.

final judge will be field trial anyway

I like that 2 stage design, you can stuff the blade protector in the belt loop when its off the blade, it looks like it would fit in snugly.
Very nice work.

Beautiful and thoughtful work! The 2 stage is a very complete package. I would be pleased to use any of these designs.

Thank You for sharing!

Thanks guys,

Hi Cliff. The stitches is protected by the welt like in a normal knife sheath. This welt also extend to the handle and will absorbe part of the impact if you drop the axe with with sheath.

Thanks for the details, really nice work. Have you considered a way to attach the main sheath to the belt loop. Maybe just a loop that could slide under the main snaps. I am always threatening to lose my axe sheaths as I usually just throw them on the ground.

The side flap with the press stud can be used to secure it to the belt. Or you can use a belt loop with a trigger hook and hook it to one of the D-rings.

The full sheath can be used with the separate belt loop as well.

Here's a mini with the trigger hook belt loop
