Sheaths for Busse/kin?

I've got a variety of sheaths for my Busse knives. Spec Ops was my favorite by far and if they were offered for each knife I'd have bought them each and every time. Lucked out with finding an awesome sheath on Amazon for $10 for my Battle Mistress. Made a few out of kydex with my own press. Mashed Cat houses a couple of them.

But I have a handful of Busse and kin still in need of sheaths. I might try making them for a few of the more straight forward designs. But my Sykco kukri isn't one I feel confident enough to make one for. For those with a sheath for that one, where'd you get it or is custom the ONLY option?

Feel free to share sheathed pics.

Thanks!

Kydex is Buy Brown and he has most models in stock. Azwelke and few others do Kydex as well. If you want leather looks at Pirtle Made or Duramax username here does good work as well.

Very interesting color choices. What was the thinking there? What logo is that? Reminds me of Avg. Joes Gym (from Dodgeball). What'd the sheath run you? Thanks!

Buy Brown, VJT, Azwelke, all make excellent sheaths.
I've heard Really Good reports but haven't gotten anything from Azwelke personally. Perhaps someday I'll run across his work...

Have had Several from David of Buy Brown: Yes. ALL Excellent! Everything was & Still is Snug & Tight. (Gud-en-tite? )

Currently/Soon Having One made by VJT; and I Must say that the Sample Photos of his work are Outstanding: Breathtaking, Exquisite, and in ALL other ways Most Impwessive for Any Size Wabbit...!
Me, I dabble. Been dabbling for decades in both Leather & Kydex, a few in combo. but Nothing like the Two Named above: Those Guys are Pros, which is Why, as someone who has made around 100 Sheaths I Go to Them for the Really Sweet Clothing, or when my supplies run low. Besides, I Like to examine Quality Sheathing to improve my own skills from such Pros. That's How we learn as best we can, from the Best. 💪
In the meantime, I gave Thudder some clothes awhile ago. {What, You Don't Know Thudder? That's my DB-321, so named as he doesn't say Ting, Ting, Ting(!) when he hits metal like some brittle piece of glass, but Thud, Thud, Thud, because he's Tough, Yeah...}
Front Side: Drop-Leg Dangle Style, with Lux-Pro Ferrocerium Rod & Striker Kit + 400 & 600 Grit Steel tied into pockets:

Back-side, shows both Vertical Carry Without Drop-Leg Dangle & Horizontal Scout Carry as Desired...
Yes, I used "spare" leather, so the back straps Don't Quite Match the main Sheath, But I Don't Quite Care that much...

Front of Sheath Shown with my Harpoon in Elmax & Blue Maple + Black Micarta Handle, sans Sheath for the moment... Maxi lives in the original cardboard & foam wrapper shipped in, only coming out for this rare Photo shoot...

I Still plan on putting in some tooling of a Forest, Mountain & Sky scene on the main Blade area, with "Climber Clif-Bar" or perhaps now duly inducted: "Satin LoxHog" written vertically outside the stitching line. That would identify the Items so no would-be thieves could say, "Uh, Yeah, I made this..." Not a Chance! There's something to be said about Unique Items.

(First time I've directly attached Photos without a 3rd-party image service, so let's see if these work...)

Cheers! 🍻

Very crafty, SatinLox Hog👍🏼. Looks like that was a fun project… turned out great!

Thanks, Bro' Nuker!
These are indeed fun, crafty projects. {When I'm not stabbing my fingers with needles, that is. That is Not so Fun.}
That one above isn't quite finished as far as that tooling I mentioned, but perfectly serviceable as is.
Then: Thudder's Brudder from Anudder Mudder, has a similar Drop-Leg Dangle Sheath with Scout Carry capability, but a Whole Nudder Project.
For when a Little Hell-Razin' Needs to go on...
{Don't look at those mistake holes I put in the backside: Shh! That's, Uh, Character marks; Yeah, that's it...}
When I don't craft on a daily basis, I tend to relearn what I thought I knew about such things. Sometimes it sticks...

Plus as a Visual, Tactile & Sentimental Bonus, I just Had to use my Great-Grandfather's last piece of Elk Hide left to me, for my 12" Battle Mistress for performing those Dirty Tricks of pounding/batoning/chopping more wood in a Day than with all other tools.
Clearly, not everything in the 1st Photo is Busse, but 5 out of 8 'taint bad. I wanted to show more Sheath-Work I had fun building! You'll recognize the Danny the Bull Sheath for my "SYKCO Skinner" aka the WS-1020, which I clearly didn't craft myself. But the Boye Knife is my original Leather Fringed Sheath, I just don't have a Busse Blade of that size to fit into it. Alas!
Several seen have either carved-out pockets or Packs attached with Sharpeners, fire-starters & lock picks in each of them.
Couldn't Quite fit the Toothbrush, Sleeping Bag, 7000 Lumen Flashlight or Rocket Stove in there, but it Does hold a Lot :cool: 🤣
Yet that Big Boy there with the American Flag Pack has a compass & several successive grits for Sharpening Other Blades, because clearly he won't need it, since he eats wood regularly yet never gets dull, Ha! That 52100/SR101 rivals INFI for edgy longevity: What Do They Put in Those Ovens...?
My House Mistress (aka Thick Chophouse) has a Kydex outfit that is really snug, & I only have a propane stove & pile of hot-pads to shape with. Plus a few singed fingers. I'm a Quick Healer on those. But I got the water drain hole Right, this time, Ha! Plus the Push/Pull Lip for drawing from the Kydex came out Stellar, at least better than I've managed it before!
Put an angled belt clip on her for cross-draw action. Not that she sees That kind of action, mind you. Not really a fighter, but the intimidation factor stays quite high among Busse-Kin. The 12" is All the intimidation I've Ever Needed for each of those "This Is a Knoife" Dundee moments.

Photos are Not the greatest of quality so some Zooming In "may" be required... 8 Survival Blades w-Sheaths = Reduced.png

Then: 3 Busse-Kin Survival Blades with Handmade Sheathing, Amateur-Style tho' they may be...
Both shots were originally taken Upon a "Book-Bed" of Survival Lore, Of Course!
What Better Background for Blades?
My SAS Survival Handbook is the Title Least Seen, hidden by the Blade-Ware & Sheathing, in case anyone was perusing...

I didn't pull out my Handmade Blades with their Sheaths, because this is labeled a "Sheaths for Busse-Kin" Thread, so I only grabbed a couple of Photos; one that was primarily, the other entirely, Busse-Kin.
Enjoy!

Shout out to David Brown David Brown for another amazing sheath. Thank you!
