I have a couple bigger Busse and kin (Basic 11, Scrapyard 1311) that I'd like to be able to strap to a backpack. Is anyone making a molle-mountable sheath for the larger-bladed knife?

I would think the kydex benders could make you a molle compatible sheath for both blades. I'm sure one of them will be along shortly to confirm, but I don't see why not.

For me, all sandwich/pancake Kydex or leather sheaths with rivets/eyelets on both vertical sides of the sheath are MOLLE compatible. Use cord, kydex, webbing, or whatever to make horizontal strips on the sheath to match the PALS webbing. Then attach to pack, vest, or belt with Tactical Tailor MALICE Clips.

I've posted some pictures in various places on BF with some descriptions.

I mount most of my blades on my packs with zip ties... fast, easy, and cheap. Keeps em rock solid

I also keep 50 zip ties in all of my bug out bags. Those things are almost as useful as duct tape

Can't believe I never thought of that. Thanks for the tip. Sometimes the simplist solutions are the hardest to see. Then again after a few more shot everything is gonna be hard to see.

That is a great idea. Looks like someone is going to the hardware store today. :D

I use these on my long sheaths like for my WAKI, Blade Tech, GEN 2 MOLLE-LOK.

For something like that, I'd go kydex. With all the holes, easily mounted on just about anything. Here is a SYKCO 1311 in an orange azwelke taco-style kydex, to give you an idea of what it would look like. If your main plan was to strap it to a pack, a pancake-style would likely be better with the grommet holes on both sides. As you can likely see, the drop-loop is removable.

I was hoping there was a longer nylon style sheath than the Combat Master sheaths (something like what Lost Mountain Ironworks used to make). Would prefer that to kydex for this use but it sounds like pancake kydex might be the way to go. Was just thinking maybe I'd missed something.

Someone here was talking to Spec-Ops about a longer sheath, but I never heard anymore about it.
