Sheaths for the Mini EU-17s?

Thinking ahead to the glorious day when I get mine in hand...

I would like to have a sheath for it made to ride both horizontally on the back of my belt and upside down in a shoulder rig.

Anyone have ideas on this yet?

Any makers want to throw out an idea and get some orders? :eek:
 
Are you thinking leather or kydex? When I get my Mini, I will be taking it to Okuden for a kydex sheath, he could probably use it to make others if others want one made without sending in their knife.
 
I'm definitely going to want a sheath, and look forward to seeing what ideas people come up with. There's no way the knife is going back to the US for pants after coming all the way to Australia first.
 
Be sure to check out all of the locals both kydex and leather. I've used many of them and they all do fine work.

I am open to either leather or kydex or a leather and kydex sandwhich... I just want to get something versatile and see what you Hogs might suggest.

edited to add: Perhaps getting a sheath of mostly leather, but with the ability and ease of retention kydex could provide built in... ?

I usually get my work done by Dwaye, who rocks, but want to hear what other's have seen and are thinking about. :)
 
lol!! I looked up "Moodex" and it is some kind of medicen??? Yea, that whole moodex thing started with "Gundy's b.a.d.a.s.s." sheaths, and its morphed on its own the last year or so, fun stuff!!:D:D:D Anyone ........ cough...... madfast .... cough ....gotta loaner Mini EU? I'll make it worth the while....;)
 
I'm definately in for a moodex I quess. Is it leather on blade kydex outer. This puppy will be carried and used from day one...even If I have to go Tarzan style (teeth).
 
Leather on the inside and outside, and kydex in the middle to give it shape and additional strength.

I’m sure Dwayne could make whatever variation suits you best.

about the kydex.... I dont do the molding, I use the flat sheets. I leave the plastic bending to the pro's like Dave and others........but we have been talking on occasion with each other on some leather/kydex projects... ;) so ya never know what will happen in Busseland! :eek:
