Hey guys, I just finished one of the sheaths that I'm doing for the passaround knives. One of the pieces to said sheath needed to be wet molded and is drying now. Tomorrow after it's dry, I'll post pictures. Hopefully tomorrow I have time to do the next sheath.

Update below!

Since I got passaround knife #1 first I thought I would make it's sheath first. When using and wearing #1 I kept thinking that it would be cool to have a Cross draw sheath at times and a low ride strong side sheath at other times. So I made a sheath that does both by using a frog and Sam Brown stud.

As you can probably tell by the pictures, the sheath comes with two keeper straps. One is for when worn Strong side and the other for iwb cross draw. I've found that when a sheath is worn strong side if the keeper strap faces forward, there is a chance that something might catch and open it up. But when the strap faces back, stuff brushing it, helps keep it closed. When wearing the knife iwb cross draw and the strap is towards the edge (back), it gets caught in the belt but have the strap face the spine (back) and it rides along the belt with out getting caught.

The Sam brown stud should have been placed about 3/4" to 1" lower then where it is. This is the 1st time I ever used one with a frog so I'm still learning. Also I accidentally used a piece of belly leather for the tie down loop, please excuse that.

Will be including a leather lanyard/tie down cord with the sheath for use when the knife is worn Strong side. Hope you like it. Thanks!

The sheath for pass-around #3 is coming along nicely. I thought I would start off by sharing some in progress shots. The Belt loop is stitched in place, snap is attached and lined. Everything is glued together and edges have been squared up. I need to mark and punch holes, stitch it, do some more edging (clean them up then round them off) and figure out how I'll be doing the keeper strap. May end up cutting part of the belt loop to become the keeper strap like the factory sheath. Will deside when I get there.

Looks great Heber. I want to try my hand at making a sheath for my Sghian Dubh but not sure exactly where to start.

that is UNBELIEVEABLY GORGEOUS, such a great improvement! surely youre not just going to let those leave with the knives when you send them around? if you are Im going to have to get in on one of the other passarounds...

Thanks! :) Feel free to email or PM me if you'd like some help with your sheath.

Issun, thanks!! I'm making new sheaths for all 3 pass-around knives and the sheaths will go with the knives. The other two knives will get a different style or styles of sheaths. You should try out all the knives and sheaths if you can. ;)

Excellent work!

Thanks John!

Ok, that gets me off my lazy bum and I'll make time to get to the post office to ship my pair out to you. They've been sitting in an abused box waiting for me to find time to get to the post office... These 80 hour work weeks suck.

Gorgeous work! I am excited to see the rest of them.

I just posted some in progress pics of the sheath for #3. Could have the sheath done in about 2 hours, but must get back to my day job so I'll get more pics up when I can.

Beautiful! That sheath now makes the Passaround 3 a really nice a package.
