I carry too much other junk in my pockets and a sheath saves the sebbies from being all scratched up. I have some sheaths from Lifter's Leather and three from Vess. Here is a picture of two that Vadim did for me this year for a small and a large LE Sebenza. I get the horizontal cross draw sheath that rides on my left hip for a right handed pull.
Great thing is that Vess has the knives already and you don't need to ship your knife back to him (unless its rare or a custom knife).
Those are so nice! Is Vadim the maker of "Vess"? May I inquire how much they are? I checked the site and didn't see any prices. I emailed, and haven't gotten a response yet. Cross draw? So cool. I think thats what I need!
Yes Vadim is his first name and his company name is Vess Leatherworks. He is a very busy man and he will eventually return your email; all you can do is send him another one after 3 - 4 days. He has some great ideas too. I just got a special sheath made for a Scott Cook Lochsa; made out of crocodile with a leather back. He made extra sure the crocodile molded properly with the leather backing and all I can tell you is it really is a beautiful, functional sheath.
Cross draw means that I am right handed and the sheath rides on my left hip in a horizontal position parallel to my belt. Very discrete and you wouldn't know I had a knife on my belt.
To answer your question about pricing; each situation is different based upon materials and any extras you request. The two I got for my Sebenza's worked out to be $55 each plus shipping. Worth while investment IMO.
