Sheaths To Fit ZT 0200 Folders?

Just wondered if anyone else has run across a leather of nylon sheath that fits the Zero Tolerance Model ZT 0200 folders? I'm going to continue to carry one ZT 0200 inside my pant lip under my belt,.........but wanted to carrt a backup on my belt behind my back for an EDC #2.

In checking my knives on hand i will offer the 1st one for this thread. I have a Buck 397BK Omni Folding Hunter that didn't cost much,......but the nylon sheath fits the ZT 0200 like a glove! I don't particularly like to have "Buck" embroidered on the outside,....when i'm carrying the ZT inside,......but until i find a plain black case this will have to do.

I'd prefer a quality leather sheath,......and may have a custom done someday,.......but anyone else know one that fits?
 
Thanks Sam,......but that snap/buckle closure is bulky, and as this will be for behind my back i prefer a simple snap or velcro closure to limit the thickness.

Black will fit in better also i think,....and the one shown is tan.

joe, I found a black sheath exactly the same size as the Gerber Gator sheath with the velcro closure at Walmart a couple of years ago and that is what I use for my ZT0200 and I also carry it behind my back under my shirts.

If you don't mind the Gerber Gator logo and happen to have a Gerber Gator already, the sheath works and fits the ZT0200 great. I've been wearing mine for some time and have had no problem with it. It's a little tight at first but loosens up nicely after a while.

It's has about the thinest profile that's possible.

I'll look at our Walmart tomorrow and see if they still have them. If they do I'll send one to you. If not I think you can probably find one online pretty easily.

Thanks Carman,.....i'll check out my local Walmart on the way home tomorrow from work. The other name of the sheath will bother me,......and it's the reason i'm not happy using the Buck 397BK sheath.

In the alternative,.......if i wanted to have a top quality black leather sheath custom made for me,.........any recommendations as to a leather guy?
 
AG Russell has a leather sheath I would love to try if I was a sheath wearing type of guy. Go to www.agrussell.com and then click on accessories, then sheaths. It is the one called "Folding Hunter Leather Pouch" and it comes in a small and a large size. That, to me, is one good looking leather sheath!:thumbup:
 
Hey joe, sorry my Walmart didn't have any, but the link that cutter17 gives to agrussell has the exact nylon sheath I was talking about for $6.95 including shipping. It's the first one listed.

The agrussell Leather sheaths look nice as well and would serve you well, but will not give the slimest profile if that is what your looking for.

For the price of both types, you could get both. I'm sure you can find a use for either one.
 
After receiving my ZT 0200 a few minutes ago, and looking at its' size, I'm thinking that maybe strapping a suitcase to your belt to carry the ZT 0200 folder in would work better than just a simple belt-sheath.:D.:D.

I may get both the brown leather & black nylon sheath from agrussell,......but wish the leather one came in black. I wear black jeans a lot in the coin store,....it doesn't show the dirt as much when i'm on my knees sorting silver. The brown leather would tend to be more noticable.

I'm currently using the Buck black nylon sheath, as i mentioned earlier,.......but if i decide to go the custom route i'll let everyone know what i did and how it worked out.


Dann,.....the ZT 0200 is not THAT big! Then again,......men have been known to stretch the truth when it comes to size........:D ;)
