sheaths

hey guys i have a question
what are some cheaper options for sheathing besides kydex: ie other knife sheaths that will work for X knife
eventually i will want to make my own kydex but i will have to wait on that for a few reasons
the kydex sheaths are just getting a bit too expensive for me to spend $100 on a knife then put $30 for a sheath (no offence you plastic benders out there)
is there any cheap sheaths that you know of for the following knives

For a while there the Scrap Yard had a nylon/plastic offering that was pretty reasonable.

but

if 30.00 is expensive to you, your going to have a time finding a somewhat serviceable sheath of any kind. Most of those that are less than 30 really arent all that well made.

Blackhawk has/had a line of nylon sheaths. Spec ops has a fine set, but they are a bit more expensive. Might do a web search for kydex/nylon knife sheaths or plastic lined nylon sheaths.

yeah i gotta say $30 is pretty reasonable for knife sheaths, i don't know how much cheaper you can get. you're really foregoing quality beyond that point
 
what i was trying to get at is like one knife stock sheath fits one of the knives that i listed above that is what i was trying to get at
 
Cheaper than $30... :rolleyes:... A roll or two of duct tape and some cardboard...;)
 
another think that kinda bugs me is the time it takes to get the sheath out if i have just gotten the knife in my hand... but making my own will solve that
