Sheaths?

Are there any sheaths that sit under your dash? I think it would be a good Idea to have a knife in my car but I don't know where I should put it? I thought that maybe they made something like the velcro holters you can put under your dash.
 
I know there are folk's who want or have a knife handy
in / on the dash or their cars' I just never could get
comfortable with having a blade in front of me
in case of a crash.....:eek: :eek:
 
A problem that I see with having a sheath mounted under the dash is that it may be looked at as a concealed weapon. On the other hand, if you have a folder clipped to the sun visor in plain sight, it probably wouldn't be. You might want to check your state's vehicle code.
 
does not sound like a good idea... i think i saw a thread about this awile back...look it up
 
Knives attached to the inside of cars are not a good idea...Anyone remember Gollnick's story?

I'm now very cautious about this. All my knives are now on me when I'm in the car.
 
thats the thread I was thinking of, I read it before I was a member... bout a half year ago think... would have joined sooner but didnt have a damn email :rolleyes:
 
Just a little bit freaky if u think about it. Hell a box of tissue paper can kill you if it got to a fast enough speed, let alone a knife.


Why not just keep that knife in your pocket?? Hell even then there is still no gurantee that knife will not come out in a similair scenario as described by Gollinicks case.
 
i have thought a similar thing, what if i had a crash and i was stuck in my car the seat belt jammed and i couldnt get out? if i have jeans on i cant get the folder out of my pocket when im sat down so what would i do? i have a small knife in the pocket on the door but i too have thought about the concealed weapons thing, i might get one of those life hammer things i know they suck but if its that or go to jail for having a concealed weapon or burn to death in a car wrech who cares? they will cut a seat belt and smash a window and thats all that matters its not like you use them every day (i hope!)
