Sheaths...

I'm really getting perturbed about this...

If I were right handed and bought a fixed blade knife, I'd get a servicable sheath with it. Maybe not ideal, but good enough to use it until I decided what I want.

Being a lefty, though, If I want to carry a fixed blade knife, I have to immediately get a custom made sheath for it, which ranges from $40, $50, or more.

I can deal with a right-handed folder a lot better than I can deal with a right handed sheath. Why don't makers design sheaths that can be worn both ways? Especially on drop point blades, it would only require a little extra room at the blade end.

Thanks. I feel better now.

I'm with you on this one!! I've taken to making my own since I can't find what I want or even what works for me. Would be nice if ambidexterous sheaths, at least, were offered.

They're not top of the line sheaths or knives, but Ontario's Spec-plus series has ambidextrous sheaths.
