Sheats for spear point blades

I think those cuts defeat a bit the purpose of a sheath, since they won't make it very hard for the elements (dirt, humidity, etc.) to get to the blade. There's also the aesthetic aspect, though that of course is entirely subjective.

If you want to go with a folding ("taco") style sheath similar to the one you made, I think you'd be better off just cutting the spear-point profile and add stitching on both sides, just for the tip section. Alternatively, you could do a pancake style sheath, with stitching all the way through both sides, or try more elaborate methods involving wet forming.

Cheers!
