knife handles would be sweet, the bottom 4-5 inches would make a great through-tang handle for a 13 dollar Polar puuko blank or even a Camillus SERE knife blank. The rest you could use as washers or handles for firesteels.

haven't done one yet, think these are worthy of a giveaway? if so i think it's a great way for me to start off my time here?!
i've been reading for a good while, know most of the makers and such, but it's time i step up to the plate here. thoughts?

There are alot of do-it-yourselfers that could definately make the most out of these things, if you don't want to use them yourself. If you do any deer hunting you could keep them and use them as calls as well.

don't i'll be headin out for deer anytime soon, but the grouse, and turkey have been calling me name! next day or two i'll figure out the criteria, i think these are going up for grabs.
haha hope they don't get confiscated at the border? anyone wanna chime in on that?

Real excited about bird season this year! I managed to pick up a 12 ga Benelli Nova and a 12 Ga Ithaca 37 in great shape as well.

That's a nice set- good color and size. I found a couple this year as well. Always nice to have a nice rack around the house;)

One of my other hobbies is gathering antlers. I have many sets, although I will admit most of them have tags on them from being shot by various individuals. (Mostly my dad, my brother, or myself)

Use them for bodkins (top) for basketmaking or prying apart knots, awls (bottom) for drilling Birch bark for lacing.

Top bearing for bow drill set, cut off sections and use as rustic buttons, knapping tool.

Tons of uses for them.

You might want to check into the legality of mailing them.

Good find on the sheds. I actually made a great deal of effort to find sheds this year and I found Squat. My vote is use 'em for knife handles.

Here's one I found this spring. :D

A heavy beam with 5 points,

...also partially chewed on (coyote?).

March 27th I went hiking with some friends, found an antler and posted pictures in this thread: Went hiking and found some cool stuff.... Am going camping twice this month and will be on the look out for more. Still have not figured out what I want to do with mine yet. Thanks for sharing your pictures with us!

Nice find! I've got a neat little knife w/antler handle. The blade is a reclaimed sawzall blade. It was made by a 14-year-old knife maker! I bought it at a gun show in Va.

Nice finds guys, I went out a couple of times this year looking for antlers but no joy

Okay, aussie guy here with pretty much zero knowledge on hunting deer. Can someone explain the point system to me? or is it just the amount of points on the antlers...

Good finds everyone! I'd love an antler bodkin...

yup its just the number of points on each antler just count them up, generally most people say to be considered a countable point it has to be long enough to hang a ring from it
