Would anyone know where I could purchase some sheep horn blocks, I can find scales but need a bigger piece for a hidden tang blade I'm making.

try Atlanta Cutlery. I have been thumbing through one of their old catalogs and they have inside cut and natural cut ram horn. This is old catalog though, about seven years. I was going to give them a ring myself tommorrow to see if they were still around and have a new catalog sent out. Here is there number - 1800 883-0300. At this point, they may even have a web site.
try Atlanta Cutlery. I have been thumbing through one of their old catalogs and they have inside cut and natural cut ram horn. This is old catalog though, about seven years. You may have a hard time finding a very big block of sheep horn.What you may want to consider doing is ordering as thick of pieces of outside cut that you can find and then mortise the tang in,If you are not sure what i mean you just cut a groove for the tang half thickness on both sides of of the inside of te scales then epoxy them together over the tang and then pin accordingly...
This looks really coo and if thick enough it gives a great feel yo the handle.

try this icelandicsheep.com/horns.htm I believe that you will have to buy a pair of horns from them but you should be able to get two handles and son scales from each horn. The horns should be aged for about five years before putting them on a handle. This is to insure that there is no shrinkage. If you have a food dehydrator you might be able to put the horn in the dehydrater for a couple of weeks and speed up the process a bit.
