Hi everyone. I thought you might be interested in these engravings from Sheffield 125 years ago. I included a link to scans of the article at the end of the post if you would like a little reading for the weekend. The first half is about the city in general and the second half is about the cutlery industry at the time. I hope you enjoy it. Best wishes.

Man, check out all that exhaust. No wonder so many of those buildings today have their walls stained black. Makes me think of that study on the peppered moth population. Nonetheless, those pictures are amazing. What it'd be like to live in a time like that...
