I just ordered a Taylor Eye Witness 2 Blade Ram's Horn Barlow made in Sheffield England from World Knives. I have been trying to find a nice barlow, without taking the plunge to Custom. This has beautiful ram' horn handle, carbon steel and look prety impressive. Any body ever heard of this? Seems to be an old Sheffield maker, since I am new to all this, it was new to me. Will try to post a pic when it comes later in the week.

Incidentally, you may also consider posting a picture of it in our Barlow thread here on this forum as well.:thumbup:
 
Cancelled the order. Expense came up. Can't get this knife at this time. So, never mind. Maybe someday. still recommend it to any barlow lovers out there.
 
yeah that was it. A beautiful barlow for sure. I just got a Moore Maker Stag Trapper. my first trapper. So, when something else needed to be paid for, I had to cancel this knife. Bummer. Someday I will get one.

The Taylor's Eye Witness brand is one of the oldest cutler brands granted some 200+ years ago, I think.. The actual brand styling was updated a few years ago. I have two identical TEW Barlow's with rosewood handles. One has the old style & one has the new. They make a really nice pair and work well as Users, too. David
 
I know Durbin, I also had them, (World Knives) put one on the shelf for me also,and sent them an e-mail telling them I can't get it now, but I will first chance I get. Bummer...Mike
