Shelter building by -who else than- Shelter Publications

Does anybody have any experience with the following two books about shelter building:

Man HM, we must think alike or something! After reading you post about "Wildwood Wisdom" I ordered it, and decided to order "Shelters, Shacks, and Shanties" at the same time! I'll let you know if It's any good once I get it, might be a week or ten days.

x39, "great minds think alike"

With more modesty, I came across the shelter books at the Shelter Pub., just like you did.
The author of the first book is the founder of the Boy Scouts of America. The book was written in 1914. That also sounds interesting to me.
Please let us know how it is.

S,S,and S is a good one. Some of those cabins are pretty elaborate. I think Beard built most of them, with Boy Scouts!

Another really cool book is NATIVE AMERICAN ARCHITECTURE. I have it, but it is at home and I am at work, so I'll have to post the author later.

Hoodoo, you are still ahead of me, since I just discovered the book yesterday.
GLP-1, could you sent us a message with the author's name of the Native American Architecture, please. I remember a book of similar title with elaborate drawings and photos but not sure even about the title.

The latest issue of "Backwoodsman" magazine just hit the stands in these parts

, in it there is a short review of "Shelters, Shacks, and Shanties" , as well as an article about one of the buildings described in the book. The review was very favorable, I'm looking forward to my book arriving.
