Sheridan sheath made by Pepín Vives - Mallorca

Hello,
some weeks ago, I presented here my new Scagel style knife, made by Rodrigo Mulero from 2Gknives.com http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=807127
Now, a few minutes ago, I recieved the sheath in so called sheridan style, made by master sheathmaker Pepín Vives from mallorca, spain.

Absolutly amazing workmanship, details, materials - a true piece of art!
This sheath is made without any metal pieces, rivets, buttons etc. but holds the knife like a
hand taylored shoe.
And thanks to the fastener wich holds the knifehandle, it's absolutley silent.

A beautiful sheath! I am very familiar with the works of my good friend Pepin. This is just one more example of his exceptional talent.:thumbup:

That is an outstanding sheath and knife from what I can see of it! I love the Sheridan carving :thumbup:
 
I'm not familiar with this gentleman's work but love well-carved, western style gear. In the late 70's, I began to have my belts made by a guy named Al Shelton. Watching him carve in his studio on Ventura Blvd in Los Angeles was like going back in time.

Would love to see images of this artist at work.

I can take orders of course, I just need a template of the blade on board, a pic , and measures.

It would be a great honour have orders from so far away of my home.We got a great great crisis here in Spain

To be clear and honest. I make sheathes in the manner of Paul Long and Sandy Morrisey. I will not take orders from USA of this kind of sheathes, you have the masters very near and better than me. I will do on the westernn style ones , like the one appear in this post.

Pepin, mi amigo, I know I speak for Sandy as well, when I tell you do not hesitate to accept orders from the USA for your beautiful work. There is plenty of work out there for all of us. Sandy and I are both honored that you emulate our style. Please be assured we are both in agreement that you should take any order from the USA you choose to.
