Impulse bought a little knife called "Sheriff Toothpick"; it is very small but with a narrow 2" blade, about " overall. only markings are the name onblade, stainless and China. I know this isn't a real great knife, paid $4.99 for it but was curious if anyone knew anything about them. It is a slipjoint and functions very well for this cheap a knife. I have no capability for pictures , sorry. Any information would be helpful. Oh, the handle appears to be wood, the green, brown, reddish brown you see sometimes and with brass(?) rivets. So far a handy little knife. Thanks

You'll probably find that you get what you pay for. I'm sure it will cut some things, since it's made of metal. I'm sure it will stay assembled for a period of time. I'm also sure there's no way to tell who manufactured it, or what steel is used in the blade.
It's a knife, so of course it's handy. ;)

This is probably what you've got, yes?

China cheapie. But hey, it cuts.

Hi,

Use it for a while then give us a review on it. While it's no Case or GEC, it may be fine for what it is.

That picture looks like a knife I've always seen called a Corsican "Vendetta" pattern. I have never owned one. I have read it is a traditional rustic pattern from Corsica, France, and Italy.

Other than the color of the handle that is it; I am surprised how ell it locks up for a cheap slippie. I was shipping a package and the store had them in a box; picked one out, told the guy it was a cute little sucker; he said well, little is in the eye of the beholder; so I flipped out my Dejavoo and used the Crocodile Dundee phrase.
