Himalayan Imports Khukuri article from The National
Knife Magazine 1993

Enjoy reading!

Years back Kancha Kami made couple of Sherpa Knives for my father. In recent shipment I received two Sherpa style Khukuri made by Lachhu. He done his best on both Khukuris. One went to big brother's collection.

I am offering this one for your collection at $275. *SOLD*

Email to himimp@aol.com to order

How pleasing to see this old style offered for sale again. The heavy buttcap breaks the rules many people think they know about how a khukuri should be made.

Yes! the scalloped buttcap sure is classy! Grats to whoever got that one! Beautiful piece by a master Kami:thumbup:

Greetings all. I was quite interested in Steven Dick's article about Himalayan Imports. However, it wasn't the easiest thing to read, in fact, there were a few words I couldn't make out, so, I have reproduced it (including pictures) as a pdf and with Auntie's help, I filled in/corrected the difficult to read stuff.

If anybody else is interested, I will gladly send a copy. My email address is: primitive at cogeco dot ca

There may be any easier way to do this so if you know one, please advise.
