Ok, this is getting silly. It has been four days. Where is the "more to come" already?

I'm waiting on my buddy to teach me a thing or two with the digital camera!

In the meantime, here's some pics that J.W. Denton took of my knives prior to delivery. My two are the top ironwood drop point and the bottom black micarta. The pics aren't bad, and I can only hope mine come out as good.

The black micarta is shorter than most of his drop points, and apparently was very popular in Japan. The ironwood truly is a sight to behold. The wood is gorgeous, and has the proprietary red liners between scales and blade tang that Loveless calls "lipstick" on his "ladies."

When asking Denton and others about method to Loveless collecting, he said that often people will collect all of a style, like the hunters (drop point, semi-skinner, etc.), or the combat styles. I'm into the logos, personally. My favorite is the double nude, which of course has the frontside and hind-end of that gorgeous gal on the blade.

I'll have more pics of my own up soon...

Here's one of Denton's closeups of the logo's front.

The double nudes are also the rarest logo and have very high collector value. I have always loved Loveless knives. Thirty years ago I could have bought a used one in great shape for a hundred bucks and I passed. What a moron!

I'm about as pic-illiterate as they come.

The first pic is of the two pieces solo, the top model being the black micarta piece that is unusual in its stubbiness as opposed to the usual length of Loveless drop points. The ironwood piece is the usual length.

The second pic is of the two pieces among friends...

Thank you all for your nice comments. It's taken years of collecting, selling, upgrading, and gumption to finally acquire these.

Professor.
