Shine on your scales?

Hi there,
I have done a bit of research on the shine on scales and used tung oil initially. I notice it leaves a matt finish on my handles. I am new to experimenting and recently saw someone put a glaze like finish on a handle and then heated it up to cure it with a heat gun. I am curious what this could be?

I have heard bee's wax and polishing wheel helps to but I am curious if theres a technique that is very shiny for wooden handles.

Any feedback appreciated.

Thanks!

What type of scales are you talking about? Are they already sealed or natural? You can use polyurethane.

I don’t use tung oil but I’ve seen it available in low and high gloss.
I’ve used Tru-oil on a few gunstocks and knife handles. Once you build up 20 coats plus you get that deep almost cased in glass look. It takes time and work, each coats needs to cure and you need to sand and buff between coats.
