Shining and protecting Satin Finish Blades

I just got a Satin Finish Microtech Hawk. I want to use a "polish" to clean and shine the blade. I don't want to alter the finish in any way, just clean and shine it. I have some Flitz non abrasive paste that I use on my Spydercos, but the microtech has a better finish on the blade and I don't want to mess it up. Any help is appreciated

I use flitz on all of my blades, no matter the finish (mirror, satin, bead blast, etc.)...it should work fine. But you may want to wait for a response from someone who actually owns a Microtech (my first Microtech is still on its way to me via USPS).

and it was polished using Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish!:D Let me know how you like:) I think it's very, very:cool:

The above mentioned polish is great and is non abrasive. I used it on a stonewashed MT blade( Socom Elite ) and acheived a cross between satin to mirror still with the stonewash effect. AWESOME looking! It takes a while to acheive it though. I polished the blade 3 or 4 times a night for about a month before I was satisfied. I currently have a satin L-UDT that I am using the Mothers on and it is getting shinier by the day!:D

Great stuff, you should be able to find it at an auto parts store or at your local Wal-Mart.

Zen...........................I think you will be pleased.
