Shinola/Benchmade Valet "Custom" coming soon!?

This video was posted in May, but the Shinola website still says coming soon!

Anybody heard of Shinola before? A friend of mine linked me to the knife and I had never seen a Benchmade special run, until now. (I guess the Knifeworks exclusives are special run too)
 
yea I saw that version on some EDC website. Pretty cool. I know the difference between sh## and Shinola but that doesn't help.

Looks like another hipster website; they sell watches, leather goods as well as retro looking bicycles, oh and BM knives...go figure.
 
I've had my eye on this knife for a while based purely on aesthetics. I need a weekend pocket folder and this thing (hipster or not) looks great imo. Just stuck between this and a bencade north fork for $60 less.

They won't get you arrested in NYC...next thing we know there will be a youtube video of some bearded guy with a potbelly cutting up a PBR can with one.

That limited run Valet looks very nice, the design is too small for my hands, but I will say it is a very nice looking knife, a good blend of modern and traditional.

It's a very hipster store, lol. It's in Mid-town in Detroit, right next to Wayne State University (hipster central). Currently in the process of opening a store in Ann Arbor. Cool stuff, but very pricey.
 
I'm into cycling, so my first exposure to Shinola was for their bicycles. Then they started making watches, which albeit nice, I don't think they are worth the $$ they are asking for them. They are assembled in the USA yes, but all the parts are made overseas.

With that said, when the Shinola/Benchmade knife came out - I had to get one. I love the wood scales with orange backspacer - nice touch IMO
