Shiping to Europe

Hi everybody
Here, in the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, we (I) don't have a big choice in what comes to buying knifes (Especially American brands)on the net, and even worse when buying from stores. So we (I) usually end up paying shipment and custom services that increase imenselly the price of my knifes...
So I´d like to know if you (Other European forumites) know any European site where I can buy knives (including American brands) or if you know any reliable knife sales on line that may reduce the total price of the item.

Thank you!

Your best best is to either find a good buddy over here(out of what? 15K on BFC), and have them buy with the Money Orders you send first.,.. they then ship to you as a "gift"...

or find a dealer for your brand that will do the same thing.

We have a few deals like this over on the Spyderco community... Linda 'Glasshartt' sends as "gift - handtool", and sells for 60% or so of factory...

I've dealt with www.knifecenter.com and www.discountknives.com of which the former was a more professional and customer friendly service. Also, knifecenter charged a reasonable postage rate - starting from around $23 I think for express airmail. Discount just sent it super cheap normal post. Some, like 1SKS, start at around $65.

Postage within Europe is good and there's almost no customs. There are some good UK ones like www.bkcg.co.uk and www.heinnie.com who list their prices including taxes, unlike knifeshop.com

http://www.wolfster.de/
http://www.toolshop.de/index.htm
http://www.messer-knives.de/index1.htm
http://www.bladeshop.de/
http://www.knifeshop.com/shop/

and you can find special offers from shops and private sellers at the german spoken knifeforum at http://www.messerforum.net/

Price: Depends. Importing knives from US to Germany I have to pay shipping + 8% customs and 16% VAT (knife value+shipping!) but thats sometimes cheaper, than buying in Europe.
