Shipment on the way: Here's what's New in the box!

I got the packing list from Lalit this morning. We've got a lot of fun stuff in the box this time. Although pictures will be posted just as soon as I can, here are some things that are definitely in the shipment:

Otto's prize winner (Surprise: there are two of them in the box!).

Gunjawals (the "double tang" khukuri with all the extra implements like tweezers).

ONE extra Hanumante khukuri (the one with the carved head for a pommel).

Something called a Cheetlang, which I think you all will really like (I sold ONE of these a while ago as an Ang Khola Sirupati).

A bunch of exotic handled khukuris (some made from wood that we brought with us from the states).

I know that's a terrible thing to do : post all of this with NO pictures, but they will soon follow, my friends.

It probably goes without saying, but we're awaiting the photos with bated breath!

Oh yeah, the Khurmi is in there - I almost forgot. And here's a question: is there any interest in some of the Warrior Diplomat Service Number Ones? They are identical in every respect to our normal Service Number One, except they do NOT have the "GO HA" Gurkha House mark, but instead, have the "Warrior Diplomat 00" engraving on the blade face. I figure any interest would only be for collector purposes.

Mike: Yes, it is the same one (and I KNEW it had a name - I just didn't know it when you contacted me about it). Steven F? Yes, he does have a few khuks. I don't know if there's any room left in his house.

Or, I wonder if, before he gets another khukuri, if he needs to reinforce the structure of the house so it doesn't cave in.

Mike: How much did you pay for it? I don't know how much you did, because I can't find the transaction in my record. However, based upon the price of our Sirupati 20, I think that $119.00 sounds pretty fair.

Well, I got the Air Waybill today - the shipment arrives on 8 June (a Thursday). So, I'll probably get it on 9 June due to anticipated customs delays. We have some "Alternate Ivory" handles coming in (synthetic stuff that I brought back), and I'm sure an inspector will want to see one.

Mike L, I WISH I had as many khuks as Carter has liver pills. You might be surprised at how few I actually have. Some that I've ordered I've traded in toward others, and a few I've given away as gifts. One of these days I'll actually count'em and let you know. But, you know what they say, you can never be too rich, too healthy, or have too many khuks! And being an old guy, I gotta try to get'em while I can still enjoy them a little bit.

How'd you like to own hundreds of khukuris? My place is sinking there's so much steel here (no not bragging - well maybe a little bragging).
