Shipping charges and activation of membership

This seems to be happening when people don't have a paypal account, near as I can figure
 
Same issue for me. More concerned about how long it takes to update my membership status. Been gold now for 13 years. Paid the membership tonight (3/23/23).

It's May 7, I just tried to pay for a membership (I don't use PayPal) and they tack on an $8 shipping charge. rycen rycen Is this correct?
 
Only the owner handles payments. I’ll tag him so he can look into it. Spark Spark
 
If you check out as a guest it adds that in. I'm still trying to figure out why it's doing that instead of treating it as a digital purchase
 
Got hit for the $8 shipping charge tonight on Gold renewal.
Checked out as guest.
If you can adjust the length of membership, that's fine with me.
 
Spark Spark Good Morning, I just restarted my membership after a hiatus. I got hit with the extra $8 charge as I am not a ppal member.
When you get a moment to activate my account upgrade I am fine with extending the membership if it is easier than refunding the extra charge. Thanks!
 
Spark Spark I'm having the same issue.

The $8 is annoying, but more annoying is the fact that my account hasn't been updated to reflect my account purchase-- is there something else I need to do?
 
Yeah, I deleted my PP a while back. Got hit with the $8 shipping charge last night and no renewal of my Gold membership.

Spark Spark rycen rycen I get it’s a holiday weekend, but I don’t think I’m asking much for my gold status to be applied within 48 hours of a digital purchase.
 
Resolved back on the 30th, closing.
