shipping fixed blade knife to APO

is it legal for a civilian (DoD employee) to order a fixed blade knife to his APO? or are there any restrictions?

never had a problem, other than the 8 or 10(or more, usually more) days it took to get from the US to where my APO was.

the way I understood it was, mail went to military carrier and then to the APO so it never went through whatever country's postal service.

I have had autos mailed to the APO here so I doubt there will be a problem with fixed blades.
