Shipping Foibles?

Seems the Busse shipping dept. must be really busy. After seeing the charge on my credit card, I called after "two weeks" passed thinking maybe my knife got lost. "It will ship tomorrow".
Week passes----ditto
Week passes----ditto
Four weeks have now passed----ditto.
I understand delays, but the build up and let down is killing me.
Sorry, had to unload. Now I feel better.

It probably won't make you feel much better but even the biggest hogs among us have the same problem as us little piglets my friend.

Is there any rhyme or reason on how Busse takes orders, fill orders and ships?
Is it too many orders and not enough people?
Or is the way other semi-custom knife businesses are run?

I am a patient person but in this age of instant gratification; I find it unusual that a company with such a great and in demand product would have such difficulty getting that product into the hands of admiring and loyal customers.

Well at least it gives us something to chat about and anticipate

Hey Progunner, if your a piglet, I must be a bacon bit... :D

My my, Dr. Thor. Whatever are you inferring?

Fine, fine. I am a piglet and you are a bacon bit. Now Shhhhhhh! The Sasquatch and Uber hogs are listening. Best to keep under the radar if you don't want the hogs to get you! :)

My gripe is that I travel frequently. I ask a friend to check the mail if I am expecting something (don't like expensive items sitting in a mailbox for days).
I called, and was told "your knife will ship tomorrow". This has been repeated numerous times as I originally stated. I would rather be told "about two weeks". :grumpy:
I guess I just don't understand what is so difficult if the knife is ready to ship.

csbjr, I feel your pain man. I can see how you feel like a yo yo on the "new knife in the mail box" anxiety meter. Having a buddy along on that ride is also tough. The folks at the shop will get things straightened out, they always do. Things get crazy there, especially when Jerry does the special deals. That seems to throw a wrench on the regular operations too. I hope that everything gets worked out and you are fondling you new blade in no time.

Please email me directly at jerry@bussecombat.com and I'll take care of you.

Sorry for the confusion. You have been very patient and we really appreciate it. I'll find the problem. . . .drink. . .. fix the problem. . . and then drink some more! ;)

Thanks,

Jerry

I'll drink to that!! More knife shipments! Here here!
