Shipping Knives Overseas

I recently bought a couple os items from survival sheath including a Busse Combat Basic 9.
I just found out that FEDEX has sent back the package to survival sheath, the reason being theres a knife in the package.
I have till now have my knives shipped by FEDEX without any problems. Are there any new rules that i should know about??
The knife is going to be shipped in a box in the cargo hold of an aeroplane, i doubt anyone is gonna get their hands on it.
 
Hmmm, dont have a clue why Fedex is having a fit with it. They use their own carog planes, that carry nothing but cargo and between two and four crew. Anyone from Fedex that can shed some light?
 
I was kind of afraid this might happen. I have knives ordered from TAD,Knife-art and AG Russell and supposed to be shipped to me this week. I was hopeing to get orders out and shipped before any knee-jerk regulations were imposed. I will find out more in the next couple of days I would imagine.
It is sad that these terrorist are are affecting our normal way of life and liberty in so many new ways. I beleive that there be many other restictions and previously normal privleges to be denied or seriously curtailed. For us Americans living overseas it is just something we will have to learn to deal with. It is regretable but really is a small price to pay, if it means that the security of Americans living in the US can be enhanced. I am resigned that knives I have on backorder will have a good chance of never being seen. Hopefully this will not be so for Service men overseas.
