I'm not trying to circumvent the law, just wondering if it is legal to ship to Europe, specifically to Germany.

I found out it is possible to ship to Germany, but thanks for looking out for me.

Arms or weapons prohibited imports for Germany. Stress that the knife is a sporting or culinary tool (hunting, fishing, camping, diving, chef's kitchen knife, etc.) and write this description on the "green tag" that you will have to fill out at the post office. Knives are always tools, never weapons.

Know your facts BEFORE you tell someone that. It is NOT illegal to mail a knife out of the country to someone.
