Does anyone know if there are legalities to shipping knives to other states, especially ones with strict laws like NY and CA. Any input would be greatly appreciated as I don't want the gestapo to ambush my house or something.

Also is it ok to use UPS and not the postal service or something?

No way would I use UPS! They require you to bring every package in unclosed and unsealed so they can inspect the items before accepting them. I always go with the post office and have never lost a package. Just be sure not to put knives anywhere on the package or lable, and insure it. As far as the laws, if you're not sure, don't ship it. I read a knife law from california and it said that if you just send a catalog into the state, with a dagger offered for sale in it, it's a felony. That was in Blade magazine back when they were running the switchblade laws, state by state. Take care! Michael
