Just wanted to let everyone here know that I'm not going to be around to do sharpening for about ten months.
I found out this morning that Americorps needed a few last minute fill-ins for the fall session which started today, since they called me. I decided to take the chance, and I am signed up. I fly out Saturday morning.
I applied for the Winter session (starting in January), but was wait-listed, and sort of wrote it off. I didn't expect to be called up. Then this morning I was sitting on the train on my way into NYC for a nice relaxing week hanging out with various friends and family, and I get the call. I took an hour to deliberate, then called back.
Anyways, I thought I would let you guys all know why I will be around even less than I already am for the time being at least (While getting settled in etc), and probably overall. I can expect up to 12-14 hour days some weeks, depending on what exactly we're working on. I understand most are closer to a regular 8 hour workday, though.
Catch ya on the flipside
