Shipping on a Gold upgrade?

Morning,
I just upgraded to Gold and had to pay $8 shipping to paypal ($38 total). What gives?
Also, how long will it take for my account to show as Gold so I can post in FS/Trade?

This has been popping up recently and I'm not sure how this has happened. How did you make this purchase, did you add it to a shopping cart and not check out immediately or something?

Mornin. Thanks for getting it corrected, appreciate that. No, clicked the button to upgrade, was taken to paypal. Checked out as a guest so didn’t log in…maybe that’s the issue? Put in all the info and the cart showed $30 + $8 shipping. Wish I could give ya more than that.

I have the same issue, I paid for a gold membership on 1/23 via PayPal. I don't have a PayPal account, so I checked out as a guest. I got charged the extra $8 for shipping too. I have the transaction receipt if you need it. I also have not see the gold membership show up on my profile yet. Thanks!!

Ah, checking out as a guest would explain it. Since there's no way to refund the difference I went ahead and extended your membership out 4 months

Guess I'll be in that boat next month, since I no longer have a PayPal account.
