Shipping times from RAT site?

Has anyone ordered any RAT knives directly off their site? I'm wondering how long it took for you to get them. I ordered one a few days ago and it says 4-6 weeks on the site but I get excited about new arrivals and wondered if theres any hope for a quick delivery. Thanks!
 
Even they suggest that you buy from a retailer, as they do not attempt to complete with the companies they sell their knives to.


As far as times...I have no idea, but if it is like anything else that they do around here, it will be exactly as they say. Hard to beat the service that they provide.
 
I usually use another retailer but I ordered one of the SWAT RC-3's and the only place I could find them was directly from the RAT site. I hope they still have them. They had limited numbers in March but when I paid there was no notification that they were fully sold out yet. I'll be anxiously waiting. I wonder if it will get here before my RC-5 :)
 
Tony I might do that. I know he is super busy with SHOT and everything else. I don't mind waiting I was curious more than anything. BTW, have any of you guys been on a RAT trip? I was just looking at the site. I think I'm going to start saving for one of their trips to Peru. I've never been to South America and it sounds like an great opportunity to learn some new skills. Maybe in a year or two I'll be able to join them in the jungle!
 
Welcome bro....I would email Jeff with purchase date & just say you was wondering on a estimated delivery date. no harm in that,just state no rush just wondering? I am sure he'll get back to ya on his down time....I want to go on a trip but I am not sure I will ever be able to swing it & it is not due to $$
 
Sorry to hear that man. Well whatever the reason is I hope it corrects itself. The site says they are trying to get a domestic course together as well but no updates yet. Oh, Tony, do you think you could post a better pic of that custom RC-4 kydex thats in your avatar? I got mine with the leather Sharpshooter sheath, which is awesome, but I've been thinkin about getting some kydex for it as some point.

I have a Solid Magnesium bar(not pictured) under the Ranger band & on the back side I carry a DMT sharpener plate .Solid lock up, no worries on losing,my buddy Mike built it for me ,I love it..I have a RC3 sharpshooter sheath as well and they are sweet !
 
Ive ordered some items off RATs site, a week is a fair estimate. However it was not a knife, and the crew is off at SHOT(lucky bastids) so........

I ordered the jungle survival kit and rc-3 from rat direct and got them in a couple of weeks.Got an actual phone call from them after leaving a message and quick email response on shipping problems to Canada. Great product and great guys to deal with!!!
 
Brad thanks for the input here and on my other post. The SWAT knife will probably not see too much use as I've already got an RC-3 but who knows!

Who made the sheath for you? Where did you get the orange scales?
 
Welcome bro ! RC3 & RC4 can be ordered Green & Orange like mentioned and Mike Billman made the sheath for me....
