How do most folks label something sent to Buck? I'm sending a knife for sharpening and didnt want to put on the label, " Buck Knives". I thought that might be too tempting for someone. Any suggestions?

Yes they are. After yesterday I'm sending my AG Vanguard in to get it sharpened up for second season in a few weeks. I just have it on display. Its one that has no blade coating and and I dulled the edge up pretty bad. I've learned on these s30v if you just lightly touch them up they stay sharp forever, but if I let one get dull forget it. Well time to go fire the smoker up for some of thisdeer.

I send mine in marked BK INC..Sending a knife in for sharpening? Can't you sharpen your own knife?I'm sorry,i heard of sending in a knife for warranty or repair, but for sharpening?is this common?

Well it is S30V. I dulled it pretty good a while back removing the finish. I have it fairly sharp, but not as sharp as when it came. I'd like to get it back to the place it was. It still will pop some hairs but for what the other s30v does its not close. Its as sharp as most knives. But if you have an AG you might as well have it as sharp as possible . At least thats my thinking.

Yeah its common Razor :D

I have 2 in for sharpening right now ;) LOL

An older 103, I cant get sharp to save my soul and a tempest that has been well used and is super hard to get even remotely sharp... I love the super steels but as Kyhunt said, once you lose the edge they are a bear to get sharp again! I touch up my edc routinely to keep it hair poppin' sharp!

I forgot to add also, I have shipped using BKI but I also have used Buck knives in the address. No problems here... yet ;)

RB, I hate sharpening knives so I take them over Leroy's... So I guess it's common for some of us... ... My dad's a retire meat cutter (butcher).... :D ... I wish, he still was in CA... I would take all my knives to him... He bought his first 119 2 weeks ago... Now he has a 110 and a 119 and ??? ...
