Shipping your sheaths

I've bought enough knives that I have quite a little stash of sheath sized boxes to send sheaths out in but hopefully someday I'll be sending more sheaths out than I have boxes of knives I've bought to send them out in.

What is your favored packaging to send your knife sheaths out in? I usually use Priority shipping through USPS because I like seeing where it's at but it's the actual packaging that I'm wondering about and the boxes you can pick up from the post office are pretty highly priced as soon as you get above the small flat rate box. The bubble wrapped envelopes would probably do the job but I'd be worried about the sheath getting pressed flat while in transit.

We wrap in bubble wrap and then in a box. Uline has the wrap and every box of every conceivable size. For shipping knives and sheaths we mostly use the free ones from Fed Ex or USPS depending on how its being shipped.

Yep, we use those boxes from USPS as well, we simply order what we need from the web site.

Your right about anything above the small flat rate can get expensive. Just get an account with USPS and a small electronic scale and your good to use any of the less expensive boxes and if you qualify for Business Base pricing you get a decent discount.

USPS has many different sizes of the Priority Flat Rate Boxes which are free. Those along with bubble wrap are what I have used for years.

Remember to ask about "Regional" boxes. I use a Regional B or A box for most of my customers on the east side of the country and save a few dollars with each shipment.
